Camaro Show 23

The Pacific Northwest Camaro Club is a group of dedicated enthusiasts living the dream one Camaro at a time in the Greater Seattle area. The club formed in 1987, in the midst of the legendary Camaro’s third generation, and its roll call includes more than 140 members from Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Canada.

Camaro Show 25

Like many local groups, a club-organized show at the XXX Root Beer stand in Issaquah is a highlight of the year. Heck, getting a date at the drive-in, famous for its unwavering support of the custom car hobby, is in itself a really big accomplishment. With sponsorship from local dealership, Sunset Chevrolet, the turnout at the 2014 All Chevy & Camaro Show was outstanding and the shindig benefitted the Children’s Hospital Regional Medical Center in Seattle and Life Enrichment Options in Issaquah. There were nearly 200 cars on the premises with a variety of flavors to entice all manner of Bow Tie enthusiast. Club officers judged the show, and honors were handed out in an astounding 51 categories. Ironically their Best of Show pick was mine: Mike Wilson’s stellar 1962 Bel Air Bubbletop. So on to the photos…

Mike Wilson’s wicked 1962 Bel Air Bubbletop took Best of Show honors. I appreciated that the car was home built and the stance, two-tone paint, and interior really struck a chord.

The interior of Mike’s Bubbletop won Best Interior. The trick center console, Red Alert color scheme, and mix of modern and vintage instrumentation caught our eye.

Don's Camaro sported a stout, well-dressed 572 big block, the hardest hitting Bow Tie you can buy. It had to have been a close second in the Best Engine judging.
