Having recently bought my first 4x4, this was the first SEMA that I have attended where I could look at off-road parts as a consumer. I spent extra time wandering halls filled with everything from monster trucks to mall crawlers - here are some top picks from SEMA for escaping a zombie apocalypse. 
Emissions, fuel injectors, air bags - what's that?
It seems that the older I get, the more I grow to appreciate classic cars. This year at SEMA I found myself taking a closer look at some classic American and European cars at the show. With new cars becoming more tech laden and the fact that I have never owned a pre-1990 vehicle, I have developed a greater appreciation for classics and have definitely added a few to my automotive bucket list. 
Europe's Finest
European cars have always had a strong showing at SEMA, especially with exotics and this year is no different - from BMW Wagons to McLarens with body kits, SEMA had it all. 
Wider is Better
In recent years, Rocket Bunny, Liberty Walk, RWB and over fenders with exposed rivets have dominated SEMA and this year was no different - with the riveted wide body style spreading to new chassis. Note: The Camaro isn't wide body but I thought it was a better fit here than the off-road gallery. 
0-100, Real Quick
It seems that the distinct line between American, Japanese and European car builds have been blurred in recent years with hot rodded Porsches, funny car style Camrys and American cars fitted with Japanese wheels. Whether competition ready or all for show - here are some cars that can get you around the track or to the end of the strip before you know it.

With so many cars to look at, its hard to find the time to stop and stare at the details.
