Auto Enthusiast Day Arrives in Texas [GALLERY]

DL-Texas-AED-2015-53 Just as tornado watches were passing though Texas, Nitto's Auto Enthusiast Day landed in Arlington this past weekend for a whirlwind day of car show fun at Globe Life Park. Following Nitto's first two Auto Enthusiast Day events in Southern California, this one brought the same excitement to Texans - including car show, drift, off-road, and motocross demos, vendor alley, and prize giveaways. 2015-Auto-Enthusiast-Day-Texas-006 Lucky to get a break in the storms, sunny skies enabled enthusiasts to bring out their cars to show. Being Texas, of course there were fantastic trucks - but there were also many built imports, muscle cars, classics, and everything in between. Congrats to the many owners who received car show awards, see them here. DL-Texas-AED-2015-155 Being the first event of this kind in Texas, spectators were surprised by the hourly demonstrations from Nitto drift drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr., Odi Bakchis, and Matt Powers. Appearing at AED for the first time were Ultra4 off-road racers Shannon and Wayland Campbell joined by motocross stars Nick Apex and Ernie "EDUB" Vigil of Empire Rules. Out on the asphalt the Campbells were out of their usual rock-filled terrain, but had fun nonetheless showing the capability of their buggies and drifting around the same course as the Formula Drift pros... you don't see that everyday! 2015-Auto-Enthusiast-Day-Texas-003
