A Good Day for LTMW x Liberty Walk Meet

header There are very few things that will keep me from a meet, particularly if there are cars I’ve yet to see in person. It’s these types of grass roots events that got me interested in cars in the first place - so whenever I have the chance to check them out, I’m there. Generally, it's meets like these which truly exhibit the community and camaraderie of the car scene, and I've come to prefer these events to "shows". If you really want to find people who are willing to discuss their builds, find a local meet! The LTMW x Liberty Walk Meet was being held just over an hour's drive from my house - which wouldn't normally pose a challenge, but this one happened to fall on the same day that my first child was due to be born! Considering he had given me enough time to checkout Cars & Coffee that AM, the wife and I felt I could head out to El Monte, take some pics and check out some cars with plenty of time before junior was ready to roll. With this in mind, I opted to drive the FJ Cruiser, just in case I had to go off-roading around traffic to get back in time. I arrived at LTMW just as the event was kicking off. Rows of BMW’s lined the entire street, so I knew I was in the right place. The amount of BMW’s wasn’t surprising, after all this was formerly LTBMW  - but there were also a few other brands representing. Liberty_Walk_Meet_24 Front and center were the Liberty Walk cars; all laced up with full LB widebody kits.  A BMW Z4, three BMW e92 ///M3’s , a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Toyota Prius…yes, you read correctly, I said a Prius. Liberty_Walk_Meet_15 The BMW Z4 had a very slight GTE feel to it, with the signature LB fender flares covering a set dark gold centered BBS LM’s with high polish outers. Liberty_Walk_Meet_09 Double lip goodness Liberty_Walk_Meet_03 The 3 BMW E92 ///M3 coupes were represented in Blue, Grey and Black – each color looked very aggressive with the signature riveted fender flares. Liberty_Walk_Meet_02 Liberty_Walk_Meet_07 Black and blue has never looked so good together! Liberty_Walk_Meet_04 Strictly business interior Liberty_Walk_Meet_10 Grey Coupe Liberty_Walk_Meet_14 Grey fender Liberty_Walk_Meet_06 Lamborghini Murcielago Liberty_Walk_Meet_01 and yes…the Toyota Prius Liberty_Walk_Meet_25 Prius Fender Liberty_Walk_Meet_08 Immediately across from the LB cars was the BBQ setup LTMW had for attendees. Liberty_Walk_Meet_18 BMWs for days Liberty_Walk_Meet_21 Walking down the street I noticed some great enthusiast builds… Old school E46 ///M3 on some awesome old-school Work Equips. Liberty_Walk_Meet_11 Clean 335i on BBS LM’s with OEM bike rack attachment Liberty_Walk_Meet_12 Aggressive sedan on BBS LM’s Liberty_Walk_Meet_13 Oh what? That’s not a BMW. Liberty_Walk_Meet_23 Not a BMW but cool nonetheless, StayCrushings Rocket Bunny FR-S. Liberty_Walk_Meet_22 Back in the lot, more Bavarian goodness... Estoril Sedan on some BBS LM-R’s. Liberty_Walk_Meet_19 Awesome BMW 5 series F10 sedan on 21” BBS multi-piece Liberty_Walk_Meet_20 Another non-BMW I caught on the way out - mean Aston DB9 “all black everything.” Liberty_Walk_Meet_27 Needless to say, no off-road exploits were necessary – the kid waited for me to get home before we headed to the hospital. The LTMW x Liberty Walk Meet will be an event I won’t forget, not just because of LTMW’s amazing Liberty Walk vehicles, but also as my son was born the following morning! -Albert Roxas
