4. 1971 and 1975 AMBR Winner – Candy Root Beer, 1923 Ford

While many are shocked that this car won not just one, but two AMBR awards (which is possible if you make a certain amount of modifications between years). The brown and orange color scheme and psychedelic murals were the height of fashion during the time. After winning the AMBR, this roadster went on to compete in 29 more competitions across the US, and took top honors in all but one. Photos: Tim Sutton
