11th Annual Motor4Toys Charity Car Show & Toy Drive

Motor-4-Toys-2014-57 The Motor4Toys Charity Car Show has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in the world. This year, it surpassed its target goal of gathering 60,000 toys for kids in need. Motor-4-Toys-2014-16 Started as a small holiday auto enthusiast get-together by Supercar Sunday founder Dustin Troyan, the inaugural event in 2004 featured 300 cars and collected 2,500 toys in a strip mall parking lot. Compare that to the 5,000 vehicles at this year’s 11th Annual Motor 4 Toys Charity Car Show and Toy Drive in the Anthem/Blue Cross parking lot and you can see how much the car community has embraced the charitable foundation as its own! Motor-4-Toys-2014-07 The end of November always brings the Annual Toy Drive in which a caravan of cars is escorted from Supercar Sunday to a nearby Toys ‘R’ Us. The crowd of car enthusiasts then shops for toys and lines up with exotic and collector cars in front of the store for the now-famous Annual Toy Drive Group Shot. Motor-4-Toys-2014-24 Although 6:30 am is the designated starting time, long lines of headlights were already streaming in between 5:30 and 6:00 am. Motor-4-Toys-2014-08 By the time the sun came up, the Anthem parking lot was teeming with people and cars were backed up on the side streets plus lines of people were carrying toys up to the volunteer toy collectors. Motor-4-Toys-2014-09 Motor-4-Toys-2014-49 This is THE place to go to see literally every type of vehicle you could ever imagine… all in one place and for six hours only. There were exotics including the Supercars (Bugatti, Konigsegg, etc.), Hot Rods, One-of-a-Kinds, Muscle Cars, Retromods, Restored Classics, California Historic Vehicles, Rat Rods, Dune Buggies, you name it, it was there. Motor-4-Toys-2014-45 Motor-4-Toys-2014-26 Car clubs were also out in force including rows of Mini Coopers, Corvettes, Mustangs, Dodge Challengers, Tesla’s, Shelby’s, plus high-end organizations such as Goldrush Rally. Motor-4-Toys-2014-54 Individually customized cars were also parked side-by-side, some of the same make, but others alternating between hot rod, street racer, antique, restomods, restored and some beautiful cars that were left with their original patina but were otherwise completely upgraded. Two things all who attended had in common was their love for cars and their love for kids. Motor-4-Toys-2014-46 Petersen Automotive Museum and their Checkered Flag 200 members were also in a portion of the parking lot along with the Museum’s 2006 Ford GT filled with dozens of toys from their store. Afterwards, a group of members toured over to a private automotive collection. Motor-4-Toys-2014-10 The Auto Gallery brought a great selection of Exotic vehicles including a McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini plus the new Alfa Romeo 4c through their Fiat dealership. Coastline Motorsport also had a few great individualized vehicles on display as did HRE Wheels and SCOL. Motor-4-Toys-2014-29 This 707hp Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat escaped the attention of some, you can hardly tell that's an intake up front instead of a headlight. Motor-4-Toys-2014-60 Motor-4-Toys-2014-34 Motor-4-Toys-2014-72 Motor4Toys Charitable Foundation is still going strong and will continue to accept gifts of toys or money donated through the end of the year. As always, 100% of all toys and funds collected are donated, there are no salaries associated with the Foundation - they just feel strongly that every child deserves a toy during the holiday season. To contribute, please go to their GoFundMe page or find out more at www.motor4toys.com. Check out more of the event in the gallery below... id 30068
