Owens Salvage Company: Where Old Cars Go to Be Reincarnated

Started by accident, “Flat Top” Bob’s father, Robert Owens, began Owens Salvage Company.  In the ‘60s, Robert Sr. owned a flourishing gas station, but had a sickness. That sickness was drag racing. He would buy old cars here and there to support his ongoing habit and fuel the fires at the strip. He began with a just a few and soon Robert Sr. had bought 5 acres to start storing them on. As the inventory grew, he decided that the salvage business was where he needed to be. They specialize in the “good stuff,” as they call it - with their main inventory consisting of most American makes and models from 1940 through the 1960s.  Cars and parts are always coming and going and inventory changes regularly. You’ll find everything from hard-to-find NOS parts to you tell ‘em where to cut on the body panel you need. Places like this are getting extremely hard to find, especially in California. It is such a gem to have a family like the Owens to keep this alive and kicking, and more than likely they’ll have what you need. I’ve done my best to stump them, but inevitably Bob returns with pictures of five at a time of what I was requesting and asks me which one… not a bad choice to have to make. Next time you find yourself in the area, stop in and say “hi!” id 39712 OwensSalvage.com 800-798-2581 3725 US HWY 83 Wellington, Texas Since 1964
