Why Late Model Cars Make the Best Gymkhana Videos
Everybody's mind was blown when Gymkhana 7 began with Ken Block burning out in the '65 Mustang Hoonicorn. The vintage muscle was a big change from his usual sport compact Ford. While we all watched Gymkhana 8 with anticipation the moment it was released a month ago, I couldn't help but be ever so slightly disappointed at the end. The new Ford Focus RS RX is great and all, but there's just something about seeing old steel drifted around a corner that is beyond compare.
Which is why I was so glad to find this. Aaron Kaufman, a.k.a the hands-on mastermind behind the hit Discovery show Fast & Loud, drives his pro-touring 1963 Ford Falcon racer in this Gymkhana-esque video that's sure to make you smile... and then start looking for an old grocery-getter of your own on Craigslist. I've got one in my garage if anybody's interested...
