How to Watch King of the Hammers

If you love off-road racing and rock crawling then you probably already know about the toughest off-road race in America, the King of the Hammers. It’s a 200+ mile race that combines triple-digit speeds in desert terrain and technical boulder climbs, and it’s held each year on Means Dry Lakebed in Johnson Valley, California. This year there are five races: Can Am UTV on Sunday, Ultra4 vs. Rock Bouncer shootout on Monday, Every Man Challenge on Wednesday, Desert Invitational on Thursday and the Nitto King of the Hammers on Friday.

To off-road racers and rock crawlers this is the biggest event of the year, (equivalent to the Super Bowl), and Nitto has been keeping the event alive with title sponsorship since 2015. Tens of thousands of people are expected to show up for the race, but there’s plenty of people who won’t be able to make it. Fortunately, there’s good news for people stuck at home. We’ll be covering the events here on Driving Line, and there’s a livestream of each race.
