Honda Brings 360° Holiday Joy to Children's Hospital
While many of us might feel the pressures and stresses of the busiest time of the year, there are those less fortunate who might have a more difficult time experiencing the joy of Christmas. In one of the most heartfelt articles I'm going to write, I'm not going to talk about the hottest car of the show or the most exciting drift battle of the round or review the latest and greatest car mod. Instead, I'm going to shift my attention to something a major automotive manufacturer is doing to help kids in need this holiday season.
Through the power of technology (and possibly some hot cocoa), Honda created a 360° Virtual Reality experience for kids at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in Orange, California, to enjoy. As one of our nation's leading hospitals, CHOC Children's always strives to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of its young patients, but this kind of care can come at a price, as some kids are not able to leave the hospital. As you can imagine, not being able to go home is especially hard during the holidays.
Thanks to Honda's Candy Cane Lane, kids can virtually drive down a snow-covered block full of Christmas lights and maybe, just maybe, spot jolly old Saint Nick himself.
